I have been a member of OneAEC since 2018 and have been an active participant dating back to 2014.
OneAEC’s thoughtfulness that goes into the speakers and topics is excellent, resulting in attracting professionals across the A/E/C industry. The OneAEC events provide an incredible platform to share ideas and promote continued learning, highlight innovation and the great work our teams are collaborating on, gain knowledge and insight from clients, and build relationships with partners in the industry. The variety of speakers and quality of events that OneAEC organizes keep me coming back each year.
From a business standpoint, there have been many speakers and panels over the years where I have gained important insight into what is key for clients that we work with. I have also especially enjoyed when OneAEC brings in speakers that focus on topics that influence our business and people. One of my favorites was Dr. Bill Robinson talking about ‘Developing a Culture of Trust in Your Company and Community’.
The OneAEC socials provide an awesome opportunity to connect with friends and partners across the industry. If you are new to our community or an emerging professional, the socials are also wonderful for networking and meeting people. The OneAEC community is very welcoming and always provide a great space for connecting with others and having good conversation.
In addition to attending valuable presentations and networking events, I would encourage everyone to explore other opportunities to expand your involvement with OneAEC – as a volunteer, participant, or sponsor. I’ve had positive experiences serving as a moderator for several OneAEC events, as well as participating on panels. Our company has also sponsored several events over the years. Finding other ways to get involved with OneAEC will maximize the value you receive from this great organization.
