OneAEC and DBIA are excited to bring you a meeting with the key project team members who designed and constructed Providence's new 5th and Browne Building. The panel will provide insight on the successes and challenges of working on the first integrated project delivery process project in the region.

More About the panelists
  • Brian Sayler, Project Executive and Senior Project Manager, Bouten Construction - Brian has been with Bouten Construction for over 11 years with the majority of his time spent involved with design-build and/or design-assist projects. He recently completed the new 100-bed psyche hospital for Universal Health Services and Providence using the Integrated Project Delivery Method, the first in Eastern Washington.
  • Jeani Natwick, AIA, LEED AP, DBIA, Principal, NAC Architecture - Jeani is a principal at NAC Architecture, an architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices in Spokane, Seattle, Los Angeles and Shanghai. A leader in the firm’s healthcare team, Jeani focuses on patient-centered design, specializing in challenging commissions requiring intensive planning and innovative solutions. She is a member of the Lean Construction Institute and is an expert in Design-Build and Lean Project Delivery.
  • Luke Orlando, Senior Project Manager, Mackin & Little, Inc. – Luke brings over 12 years of experience as a project manager and estimator for Mackin & Little, Inc. Luke holds a LEAN certification (National certification pending), is an in-house Practice Administrator and is an OSHA/L&I Compliance Administrator. His experience includes development projects within the healthcare/behavioral health, commercial, industrial, municipal and higher education industries. He also has over seven years of experience working on LEAN project.

  • Isidro “Sid” Mejia, Senior Project Manager, Performance Contracting, Inc. -- 

    Isidro began his construction career in Northern California with a summer internship on a bridge building project in 2003. After returning to Pullman, WA to complete his undergraduate studies at Washington State University, he received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.  When Isidro joined Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI), he started off as a summer intern at PCI’s Spokane office.  That led to a part-time position with PCI while finishing the last year of schooling and eventually a full-time position upon graduation.  Throughout his career at PCI, Isidro has held the titles of Associate Project Engineer, Project Engineer, Estimator, and Project Manager. Today, Isidro holds the position of Senior Project Manager at Performance Contracting, a leading specialty contracting firm with 46 branch locations and over 7,000 employees throughout the United States. When away from the office and job sites, Isidro’s time is mostly spent raising 3 children with his wife of 11 years.

  • Jack Schneider, Electrical Engineer, NAC Engineering -- Jack is a passionate electrical engineer with 21 years of lighting experience. He focuses on lighting, power, and information systems for commercial projects including schools, medical facilities, and commercial developments. His specialty is creating, illuminating, and controlling vibrant and dynamic space. Jack earned his Bachelors of Science degree in electrical engineering from Eastern Washington University. He's a licensed electrical engineer, has been LEED AP accredited by the United States Green Building Council for 12 years, and Lighting Certified for 13 years. He has spoken at several lighting conferences on the west and east coast on various lighting topics. He also serves as Associate Principal for NAC Architecture.

  • Rustin Hall, AIA, Principal, ALSC Architects -- Rustin is the President/CEO of ALSC Architects P.S., a Spokane / Coeur d’Alene architectural firm that has served clients locally, nationally and internationally for over 70 years. Rustin, his five business partners and staff of 45 provide master planning, pre-design/feasibility studies, architectural and interior design services for sports and recreation, higher education, K-12, municipal, government and private clients. Rustin earned his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Washington State University. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing his expertise in integrated project delivery, leadership development and community support through volunteerism. Rustin serves on numerous local and state boards and commissions including the Spokane Chapter of the DBIA, the Washington State CPARB Project Review Committee (past Chair), Greater Spokane Incorporated, Spokane Sports Commission, Boy Scouts of America (incoming Chair) and the WSU Riverpoint Advisory Council.
