Please join us for our 6th Annual Developers Panel to hear from developers who are actively working on projects in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area. Our panelists will share insights and perspectives on their current projects, factors they consider when looking at a potential development, and what projects are currently “hot” and will be “hot” over the next years. Additionally, our moderator, Craig Crowley, Principal at DCI Engineers, will ask our panelists if they have plans to focus on development in the West Plains area, due to the new Amazon distribution facility or Spokane Valley area, and any other areas they are looking to invest in.

More About Our Panelists and moderator
  • Jim Frank, Founder, Greenstone Corporation: Jim is a Spokane native, who grew up in north Spokane and attended Gonzaga Prep. He has his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Gonzaga University, and a J.D. Law Degree from Gonzaga University. He practiced Natural Resource and Environmental law for 10 years before forming Greenstone Corporation in 1983. Greenstone is involved in land development; master planned community design; home building; and commercial and residential investment properties.  ​
  • Jordan Tampien, Four Degrees – Jordan is the co-founder of 4 Degrees Real Estate and focuses primarily on commercial sales and development projects. He has accumulated over $100 million in career sales as a broker, overseen multiple commercial development projects, manages properties, and helps clients find rental investments. Holding a wealth of accumulated experience in virtually every aspect of the real estate industry, along with an Masters in Business Administration and a Law Degree from Gonzaga, Jordan leverages his unique set of skills to gain an edge on the competition. Jordan lives in Spokane with his wife, Whitney, and their daughter, Logan.
  • Christopher M. Batten, CCIM, Principal and Designated Broker, RenCorpRealty -- With over 25 years of experience in commercial brokerage and real estate development Chris has been involved as a partner in numerous Downtown redevelopment projects. As a licensed commercial real commercial broker Chris has been involved in in-depth multi million dollar purchase and sales negotiations as well as significant lease analysis and negotiations. As the founding principal of RenCorpRealty, a design-build development firm Chris provided oversight on all development projects including acquisition, design, construction, commercial and residential sales and leasing. RenCorpRealty’s primary focus has been on adaptive reuse and renovation of historic properties in and around downtown Spokane. Chris has served on numerous boards including as the President of the local and Regional Vice President of the National Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute, Chair of the City of Spokane Design review and member of the Plan Commission and Downtown Spokane Partnership.
  • Barry Baker, Baker Development – Barry is the CEO and President of Baker Construction and Development. He graduated from Central Washington University in 1977 with a degree in Business Administration. Since that time, he has grown this third‐generation, local construction company to a well- respected general contractor and developer in the commercial, medical and retail construction markets throughout the western United States. Barry has the unique ability to combine facts and experience with instincts to make critical decisions. He will bring his experience in planning, organizing, coordination, and financial acumen to your project. As importantly, with his high level of customer service, he aims to make each project FUN!
  • Lanzce Douglass, Founder and President, Lanzce G. Douglass, Inc. (LGD) and LGD Properties, Inc. – With nearly 30 years of Washington State development experience, Lanzce and his company specialize in residential developments, single family home construction, self-storage construction and RV Campground construction. LGD has managed and developed many multi-family properties throughout eastern Washington. Douglass is also the founder of Secure It Self-Storage, which is the Inland Empire’s largest self-storage provider with facilities in Spokane, Cheney, Spokane Valley, Olympia and Tacoma, and founder of the Liberty Lake and North Spokane RV Campgrounds. He has a B.S. in Construction Management from Washington State University. 
  • Craig Crowley, DCI Engineers -- Craig is a vice-president of DCI Engineers and has been with the firm for more than 20 years. He has been managing DCI’s Spokane office for the last 10 years and keeps busy with project management, business development, and leadership responsibilities. He has provided structural design services for a variety of projects in the commercial, governmental, and industrial sectors.  Within the industry, Craig has a great reputation for being an innovative designer and using the newest construction technologies to deliver cost-effective solutions. He is currently a member of Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW), American Institute of Architects – Spokane Chapter, the Spokane County Construction Review Board, and serves on the Spokane Parks Foundation Board.
