Across sectors, there is hyper-motivation to create diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The social injustices highlighted in 2020 have pushed leaders to pause and consider the meaning and place of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their organizations. The next and necessary step after this pause is committing to and creating organizational cultures that unmistakably prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion. As part of an external-facing industry that interfaces with individuals, groups, and communities, professional services leaders have an essential and ongoing responsibility to become change agents who make diversity, equity, and inclusion a central part of their business practices. Please join us on June 10th as Dr. Nyasha M. GuramatunhuCooper gives organizational leaders tools and strategies for creating cultures that empower everyone in their organizations to develop systems, processes, and practices that center diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About Our Presenter
Dr. Nyasha M. GuramatunhuCooper is an award-winning leadership educator, scholar, and facilitator whose work reflects a commitment to querying leadership as a culturally and socially mediated practice. Nyasha serves as Associate Professor of Leadership Studies at the Houston Campus of Our Lady of the Lake University. Additionally, Nyasha is the founder of Girton Road Consulting, LLC, a consulting practice specializing in organizational and leadership development with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, intercultural competence, and capacity building. The mission of Girton Road Consulting, LLC is to assist organizations, communities, and individuals to create personal and professional spaces that prioritize (in thought and action) diversity in its many forms.
