We would like to thank everyone who attended the Regional Transportation Update event. We sincerely hope that you found it valuable.
Please join us as we host Kevin Wallace, Executive Director for Spokane Regional Transportation Council (SRTC). Kevin will give a presentation on the short- and long-term transportation goals for the City of Spokane and Spokane County, specifically addressing:
The SRTC Policy Board appointed Kevin as the agency's Executive Director in September 2011. SRTC is a voluntary association of local governments that is charged with making regional transportation planning decisions in the Spokane County area. SRTC serves as both the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization and the state designated Regional Transportation Planning Organization in Spokane County.
Kevin has over 21 years of professional transportation planning experience at both the regional and local levels of government. Prior to SRTC, Kevin spent 11 years in Arizona, first with the City of Mesa and later with the Maricopa Association of Governments in Phoenix. As the City of Mesa's Transportation Planning Administrator and later as a Deputy Transportation Director, Kevin oversaw the creation of the City's first multimodal transportation plan, served as a City liaison for the Central Phoenix/East Valley Light Rail project, and coordinated with the Arizona Department of Transportation on the design and construction of the Red Mountain Freeway. As the Maricopa Association of Government's Transit Planning Manager, Kevin was responsible for coordinating regional transit planning activities and managing several studies that looked at future transit needs, including commuter rail. Before moving to Arizona, Kevin served as the Transportation Planning Manager in Vancouver, Washington, and as the Assistant Transportation Director with the Rogue Valley Council of Governments in Medford, Oregon.
